I remember, but no I haven't got a clue about her. She looked so familiar somehow. I keep the shoe underneath my bed, along with a pink book from another... strange and possibly related incident. Yeah. It's a lot of work to answer so many questions at a time, but I'm having fun doing it.

So, I have to put my son in daycare Monday (starting a new job) and it's just making me really sad to even think about it. Any thoughts?

How old is your son? He'll get to be with kids his own age, that's good, right? And I'm sure the daycare workers are experienced with looking after young children. With several different people watching over him, he'll be as safe as possible.

If it hadn't come from my father's journal... I would have thought Grandpa was making it all up. It's hard to imagine someone being born during a volcano eruption, especially when that someone is you. It's cool to think about, but it doesn't change how I see myself. There's nothing miraculous about me. I'm as normal as anybody else-- and I don't think you're weird. You're interesting.

That's a tough one. I've met a lot of people who felt like they were pushed out of society, like Sam the Sewer King, Vincent the Pigeon Man, and Monkey Man. You could say they were weird... but they lived on their own terms by never compromising their ideals. My most shocking adventures taught me that a good life doesn't always equal a steady job and a lot of money. Even if the entire world is against you, you have to be true to yourself and what you want. After I got to know them, I didn't think they were so weird after all. They showed me the power of the human spirit.

Then again I have to admit Sam is kind of scary sometimes.
