It's not something I plan for, really. I try to be a good person and that often means lending others a hand when they need it.

I never thought about it before. So much crazy stuff seems to happen to me that I just try to live day by day. I suppose my life will change a lot by the time I'm 30, but I hope it stays exciting.

Do you ever feel like just snapping at people to leave you alone? You're such a sweet kid, and it seems like everyone you know (even adults) come running to you the second they get in too deep. That's got a be a lot of pressure, huh?

A lot of those same people have helped me when I was depressed or in some kind of trouble. I have to look out for them too. Knowing that others can depend on me is a really good feeling. There have been times where I've gotten annoyed at people who try to rely on me too much... since I believe that we have to help ourselves when it comes down to it... but if they truly want to do the right thing, I can't turn them away. Sometimes we all need some encouragement.

I'm still 9.

The first claymation shorts aired in 1988, so that's what I put as my birthday. If you count my age by when my character was created, then I'm 21. I guess it's sort of complicated. Let's just say I'm 9 and leave it at that. Never mind what my forum profile says.

Also, how do you get your hair to stay up there? One time my teacher told me that a guy that had a 1-foot-tall mohawk used eggs to keep it that tall. Do you do that?

I don't always wear the same thing, but you're right. I does seem like I wear these clothes most of the time. The truth is that I own a bunch of outfits that all look alike. I have a closet full of long sleeved sweaters, plaid button up shirts and blue jeans. It's an unwritten law in cartoons. So we're always recognizable.

My hair sticks up the way it does naturally, so I don't do anything except shampoo and condition it. If I want it to stay down then I have to put stuff in it. I like my hair the way it is, so I only do that for special occasions.

It's a question of perspective. This is how Craig Bartlett imagined I should look, so this is how I appear. If you were drawn as a cartoon in the same style I am, you'd have eyes like mine too. Neat, right?

I was born this way. Where I'm from a lot of people have oddly shaped heads. It's not so weird to have one. Mine has the distinctive shape of a football, so it's easy to make fun of... I guess.
I try to let most of Helga's insults go. Besides, she's been calling me 'football head' for so long it's almost a nickname between friends now.

Sort of, but when I think about it me and my friends have had some interesting adventures. I can see how they make good stories and I'm glad that others can enjoy them. I don't think you're crazy.

The Jolly Olly Man is a friend of mine. Me and some of my classmates buy ice cream from him all the time.
I went through a couple months where I chewed gum constantly. I'm mostly over it now.

I did everything I could to get Lila interested in me, even some things I'm not particularly proud of. I still like Lila. I can't just stop feeling the way I do, but I think it's time I stopped chasing her.

How are you today? And my question is this, people have written a lot of fanfiction about you (and the other characters) over the years, and still are right now (myself included). What are your thoughts about people writing fanfiction about you in general?

In the episode "Helga Blabs It All"... you and the other boys DID see Helga fall out of your ceiling... right? I mean, you all acted like nothing happened, but you looked right at her. What do you think she was doing there?
