A LOT of pages in that thread!

Well, I was Helga a lot back in the day so I'm not sure if I'd want to RP anybody else.....unless Arnold- but I would be almost unnecessarily picky about who Helga was before I even considered that. Im a head-cannon nazi. :C

It's your call, Ag. I think Perhaps has done a great job with Helga. Though for most of the early session Hatterlet was playing her..... Our original Helga pick bailed on us before we even started, I think.

Arnold's available tho. Unless Nintendo comes back to reclaim him.

Hmm, really? Then...where did you find ME? o_0;;; I am the second user to register here....I was the (original) Helga to Freddie's Arnold...so...I don't know who else you'd be reffering to, if not me....otherwise I apologize for bailing- I have had four surgeries in the last 3 and half years- no excuse- but it is an explanation :C

I'm not sure, but I do think you disappeared from the board for awhile, but I don't THINK you were the Helga picked for the forest RP, but I'm not sure anymore TBH. I just reread our whole forest RP and Helga is a no-show from the get-go and then Hatterlet picked her up along with doing her chosen Phoebe. Then, a few pages before where we left off, we had a major overhaul and Perhaps dropped Curly for Helga and Gerald was written out.

No, this one is... they were on their way to a party for Arnold's birthday and they ran out of gas. Also there's a lot of Phoebe/Gino and Harold/Rhonda/Curly with some cutesy Helga/Arnold and a grumpy Gerald?

Yeah, I DID vanish for a long while- and I never expected anybody to wait for me---- I think maybe the Forest RP started after I had had my first surgery, in which case- it wouldnt be me.....but Freddie and I were the first two people (next to anne) to join this forum and we RPed alot in PMs. Looks like I started the very first RP thread here- Wal*Mart...

...but again, I know I bailed.

Sounds about right. It probably was at that time because you weren't active here anymore. I think maybe... that was the first time we tried rebooting this forum? Did we already try this? IS THIS A RE-REBOOT??? I honestly can't even remember. OKAY GUYS SEE YOU IN FOUR YEARS WHEN WE DO THIS AGAIN!

Yes. This is the SECOND Re-boot.

I was having surgery number two around when all this went on- I seriously dropped off the ENTIRE internet, I couldnt physically be on very long if at all for months at a time.

So yeah. Freddie and I did a lot solo RPs too. That's how I have his number...we would text in character because we're huge dorks.

Yeaaaaahh. I mean the recovery was estimated at about five years and I'm on year three and half- I have ONE LAST major surgery but its of the bunch, the least urgent one, so I may not have it this year, I may take a break and do it next year.

But ya- its been a ride. I wouldnt mind telling you the story- just would rather not on here.

New to the forum and ah, sorta new to the fandom...
got really into hey Arnold late 2011-2012 by sitting down and watching the series properly on Netflix. This forum seems really cool and I'm definitely going to read through some of the old topics!

Hopefully some of the old members come around, say hi, and maybe be active again? (Hoping for new members too!)

edit: IDK I don't really like putting my real birthday up orz I didn't know it'd show my "age" aha

If Jay is interested in playing, she's welcome to pick up whoever she wants out of the available characters! Like I said, canonically we've got Eugene, Arnold and Gino still with the group - Curly and Gerald are off wondering somewhere. If she wanted to randomly have another character stumble into the group - we could do that too!

It's likely that we'll probably start up a new RP at some point tho! And I'll probably try and have another test and vote for the really popular roles *cough*Arnold and Helga*cough*.

A new RP might actually be a good idea anyway. It'll give us something brand new to focus on! Plus, I am hoping we get some more new faces and I want to be sure to extend the invite to newbies! That's why I'd have some sort of anonymous voting system for the applications for Helga/Arnold/popularones - theoretically the people who get those roles will be the ones who have PROVED that they are the best at writing said characters "in character".

And maybe for once I will give up playing Harold... (PROBABLY NOT)

...that is a valid point....but at the same time grandfathering characters in is equally acceptable....I mean- okay those who play who now will have to re-do the application, okay I get that- but if they're still very good then I don't see why......there would necessarily need to be a vote unless others applied for the same character?

I can see grandfathering in SOME, but I always feel like EVERYONE wants to play Helga and that she should go to the BEST. Although, it is true that Perhaps has proven her reliability and she does a great job with Helga too! I'd probably try to do it in the fairest way possible though. Which is why I'm like: "OKAY BLANK SLATE ENTIRELY. WE ALL ARE BACK TO SQUARE ONE."

That way everyone is on equal footing and no one feels like I'm favoring any one over the other - it'll be largely out of my hands. Haha.
