Criminy's witch doodles made me want a Magical Girl AU.

It probably also has something to do with how much Sailor Moon I've been watching lately.......

Forest RP doodles. Eugene pissing off Gino. Harold toting Helga around and trying to mingle with her while she's all injured. Harold and Helga's friendship is SUPER important to me.




Trying out design stuff for the Magical Girl AU. Criminy actually finished and colored my first Helga sketch and posted it on twitter and it's amazinggggggg. Helga is the one who gives Cat!Arnold his hat - it used to belong to a doll she had and she just think it looks silly on him. Also Helga is going to an all girls private school along with the other HA! girls and must assemble her magical girl team so that they can fight evil and also find a way to turn Arnold back into a boy (SO HELGA CAN SMOOCH HIM).




Arnold probably used to be a prince or something. I imagine he was cursed by evil witches decades ago to live as a cat forever (HAY HOCUS POCUS), but now he has to awaken these "good witches" to save the day. Or maybe Helga awakens herself and he actually tries to stop her? Like she and the other girls are descended from a line of evil magic, but they're gonna use it to save the day instead? And Cat!Arnold has to act as a moral compass for the team???

Haha, obviously I'm still... mulling plot and character stuff over.

Oh my God I love so much about this AU. I really really love just. Cat!Arnold is so perfect and Helga would make the best Magical Girl protagonist of all time.

Harold and Helga though please I hope they become Best Friends Forever I really do.

Some more Magical Girl stuff. Helga and Cat!Arnold doing some sleuthing. Helga with her wand. Phoebe and Lila doodles with a bonus of Lila as a vampire.

I can't decide whether I want their team to be made up of the girls as witches from various cultures or should I turn them all into monster girls? I really like the idea of Vampire Lila. Aaaaand a part of me wants to make Rhonda the werewolf and SHE IS SO MAD AND EMBARRASSED. Phoebe would be a spirit or a ghost probably....

And I'm still undecided on the fifth member. Should they have one? If so, who? Nadine? Patty? Sheena? SOMEONE ELSE???

More magical girl stuff (except for the Phoebe/Gerald and the older Phoebe in the first picture). Playing around with some basic design stuff, but aside from Arnold and Helga there's gonna still be a LOT of tweaks. I like Lila's vampire hairdo, but I need to perfect an outfit for her. I like the feel of ghost!phoebe, but again - I want her outfit to have some more complexity to it. I am still so unsure about Rhonda's look. I like the werewolf idea, because I like being mean to my favorites, but my heart wants her to be some sort of sea monster insteadddd?
