The Jungle Movie project

Not much to say here, except what the title says. 8D

My friend ~InvisibleDeath from deviantART and myself are putting together our own little project, The Jungle Movie. Like all other HA! fans, we're so sick and tired of Nickelodeon being idiots and not agreeing to make it. I think the movie would have been great closure, if you ask me. If I were in charge, it would've been made a long time ago! Well now, while we wait for a miracle, we decided to make it ourselves.

So, what we're going to be doing is that she will be drawing it out as a comic, and I myself will be writing it. We're going to follow as close as we can with Craig's confirmed notes about the movie, and also, throwing in our own flares and ideas.

We also will be making a poster, a little trailer of sorts, and whatnot. Along the way, we will be keeping those who wish to follow along updated and showing some sneak previews and whatnot. Once we finish writing and drawing it, then we will be posting it on deviantART and probably (if I do not write it in script format), on Fanfiction.net

I always thought the kiss scene would happen when Helga saves Arnold's life. I dunno, maybe she pushes him out of the way while a big boulder is coming towards them! But their on the side of a clift! SO THEY FALL! But thanks to the trees they safley land in water. They get out and he realizes what she has done she tries to make an excuse and BAMM! May I just inquire as to what the jungle movie actually is? It sounds like Rugrats go wild crossed with hey Arnold since I keep imagining a HA/Wild Thornberrys crossover in my head.

The name 'Jungle Movie' probably made me think that.

The Jungle movie is the Hey Arnold! movie that was actually intended for the theater. The regular Hey Arnold! movie was supposed to be a special Nicktooons movie that actually aired on the channel. It was to be proceeded by "The Journal" - remember at the end when Arnold finds the map? The kids were going to go to San Lorenzo and they would find Arnold's parents. It was also to solidify Arnold and Helga as a couple. Some people still hold hope that the movie will be made. I've personally given up on that, but I think now would be a good time to release a comic book on it - after all, Darkwing Duck is a little older than Hey Arnold! and the comics made about it recently by Boom studios has sold very well.

Definitely agree! I'm a firm believer that the absolute best solution for The Jungle Movie would be to have it released, finally, as a comic book/graphic novel. It's extremely cost-effective, and it would certainly solve the problem of having to replace the voice-over cast.

I think even people who haven't thought of Hey Arnold! in years, not just die-hard fans, would be enthusiastic to have something like that.
