Phoebe (lollipop lady)

So this is inspired by the RP, but not technically an RP illustration.

This is Phoebe, having spent much of her time being influenced by Gino. She is the public face of his mob, who is now slightly more on the white end of gray (Phoebe not the only one who can be influenced.) She is referred to in more secret circles as the Lollipop Lady.



She's cruddily drawn and ever so slightly GIMPed. If anyone wants to color or anything, be my guest. Not asking, just giving previous permission.

So why is she called the Lollipop Lady? I'm curious.

Well, I wanted to give her a lollipop, because that's kind of Gino's schtick (at least in the show). But she's a little too old in this shot to be gnawing on a sucker. So I made it her name. And I put it on her briefcase

Heh heh! I can see Phoebe helping Gino organize a lot of his... ah... 'business'. It makes sense that she'd become more like a partner rather than a mob moll.

I just wish I was a more capable artist. She looked so much better in my head.

I'm going back to fic writing.

Don't worry about it. I'm not much of an artist either but I like to doodle. I do most of my stuff in MS paint, so it looks pretty crappy. Although I prefer the more polite term: 'low budget'.

Writing and drawing both require equal parts of creativity and an understanding of the nuances involved. If you're a better writer than an artist, that's fine too.

And hey, I don't blame you. XD I'm a better writer than an artist myself. It's okay, but sometimes it can be sucky when you have an image in your head that you just can't express in writing.

Actually, I love this! It reminds me of an old RP my friend ran...he played a cop, I was the leader of the Yakuza, our other friend ran the mob and another friend was a bounty hunter. They tried to bust me and the mafia guy while we kept trying to kill each other. Thank goodness for level 10 seduction or I would have been arrested from day one....*cough*

Don't be so hard on yourself! This really is a good drawing. You mentioned being good at writing...if you have time is there anyway we could get at least a short companion piece to this art? I for one would love to read it.

Yeah, I'd love to write something along those lines. I've been tossing it around all day. I'll see if I can come up with something.

Because I don't feel like creating a new thread just to throw up some crummy pictures, this will now be my art thread! Yay.

Anyway, been playing with my tablet all weekend. Once I finished the RP drawings, I worked on some old sketches, then started actually drawing on the thing instead of just coloring scans. Here.



Alyssa, you aren't the only one with a massive, epic AU that never gets done. This is part of an AU where all the girlies are pirates under Captain Helga of the Jolie Rose, and all the boys are sailors under Captain Gerald. Helga kidnaps Rhonda, the governor's daughter, to ransom her and get the money needed to join King Robert's pirate armada. Along the way she falls in love with the kind naval First Mate, Arnold, who spurns her for Lila, a bar maid who joined Helga's crew. They are all shipwrecked, insanity ensues, yaddayaddayadda. There are several drawings I have in this universe, but this is the only one I think worthy of posting.



And this would be the one I did last night on my tablet, thus why it is sketchy and not cleaned up and stuff. I had to explain why Arnold and Helga were holding hands to my mother. She didn't get it.
